Hobe Sound, FL (PRWEB) March 03, 2009 — iguanafarmGroup (www.iguana-farm.com), a custom web development company and creators of IFModules email management software, announced today that they are celebrating their 10th year in business, a major milestone in the web technology industry. To commemorate the occasion, iguanafarmGroup is planning to donate web development services, including hosting, to a few select non-profit companies each year. Recent such projects include a new content management website and photo gallery for a local nature center and a re-designed website for a South Florida recovery care center. To learn more about their Giving Back initiative and to submit a group for consideration, visit their website at http://www.iguana-farm.com/givingback.
In 1999, at the height of the Dot-Com boom, iguanafarmGroup partners Jaime Pereira and Jodi Gaines Pereira decided to start a web development business, giving it a name reminiscent of a scaly, large green lizard. Their first project resulted in t-shirts and the promise of fortune to come. iguanafarmGroup survived the Dot-Com bust, and in 2001, they created IFModules eMail Manager, a web-based email management application designed to manage high volume role-based email, one of the first of its kind.
A question many readers may be asking is “Where did they get the name?” The story goes like this… over the years Jaime Pereira made numerous trips down to Costa Rica for both business and pleasure. When asked by previous co-workers why he visited Latin America so often, the answer inevitably became “to attend to my iguana farm.” It was intended as a joke, but many people took the answer quite literally. So when they started the new company together, the task of naming the business was an easy decision. After all, Yahoo! and Google were becoming (and continue to be) household names.
iguanafarmGroup has strong roots in technology and marketing. Co-founder and managing partner, Jaime Pereira, is an electrical engineer with 4 patents – two for bottle inspection systems, one for an intelligent automated microscope and one for a web related business-to-business exchange software. Jodi Gaines Pereira is a co-founder, partner and Director of Marketing and Design. She has successfully designed and managed the development of several large Internet sites, including Jean Carper’s Stop Aging Now (http://www.stopagingnow.com/). She also directs email marketing campaigns and drives the marketing efforts for IFModules Email Management Solutions.
