Linking eMail Manager to External Websites

eMail Manager allows users to connect with an EXTERNAL website such as an ordering or shipping system, customer database or to launch a Google search by appending a customers email address to an external URL. When in an open email, users simply click on the customers email address to promote a search for the customer in that external database. Information from the existing account is now available to you with one click.

Setup must be done ahead of time by an administrator. Here is how:

1. Go to Maintenance>Folders, select the folder you would like to add the Link Feature to.
2. Scroll down to “From Email” URL Link and enter the external website (starting with http://) and save changes. The external website must be web-based to work.

To use the feature, select the folder, open a customer email, and click on the customers email address that appears as a link. A new browser window will open and launch a search into the external website that was configured, and search for the customer by email address.
