A Taste of Whats To Come in eMail Manager

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

IFModules is planning to release version 5.5 of eMail Manager starting on Friday, April 2nd. The release is the result of a combined effort of our support team and valued customers. We are also taking the opportunity to upgrade our service infrastructure by moving to “The Cloud.” This will allow us to provide customers with a choice of data center locations to increase the speed of service connectivity. We currently have data centers in Virginia (US) and Ireland (Europe) and are planning to expand to Singapore (Asia) later in the year.

Here is a sneak preview of the features to come:

  • Assign multiple categories to an email message (like assigning multiple tags)
  • Merge multiple messages for better records management
  • Download multiple attachments in a single message as a zip file
  • Image toggle allows users to choose whether or not to view embedded images within the email
  • Quick preview of a message when looking at the message list
  • Warning message displayed when two users are looking at the same message thread
  • At-A-Glance account monitoring to make sure email accounts are being read properly
  • A new rule that allows users to assign a category and then continue evaluating other rules
  • Support for multiple user interface languages: English, French and Spanish (with plans to expand to other languages)
  • Added an API to allow for other software programs to communicate with eMail Manager

New Website, New Blog, Great Email Management

Monday, August 24th, 2009

After putting the new site design and transition to WordPress on hold for all of 2009, IFModules has finally deployed its new website. What’s Changed? Well for one, it’s a whole new look, relying on white space to provide a clean template to show off eMail Manager. We widened the site a bit and increased the font size. IFModules also transitioned the blog from Blogger to WordPress to bring the content in-house, which was a huge element in the re-design. What’s next? Keep an eye out for a new video on the home page and additional, shorter How-To videos.

What To Look for in an Email Management Software

Thursday, May 28th, 2009

The process of finding and selecting an email management solution (or any web-based software) should be similar to how a business might hire an employee. The company would search for prospects, group interesting candidates together, interview the candidates, check references and make a selection. When “interviewing” possible web software solutions, keep these questions in mind:

  • Is the software easy-to-use and to setup?
  • How long has the company been in business (they are, after all, managing your data)?
  • Is secure access available?
  • Do you do back-ups of the stored data?
  • How is their customer support? Do they provide only an email or is there a phone number with a live person on the other end?
  • What is their up-time?

Get answers to these questions, and you’ll be better prepared to select the best and most reliable web-based solution.
